He was my kryptonite…

He was the only person that could get close enough to take me out, and he almost succeeded. Behind closed doors he was cruel and hateful. There were times when he even laughed at my pain. His mission was to break me down. He told me so once, when he was mad, that he wouldn’t leave until he had degraded me and took me down several notches. He thought I had a holier than thy attitude. He said I thought I was better than other people, because I always tried to do things the honest way. Later, I realized he was actually projecting his feelings onto me. He was a hood-star. Like so many people these days, he had a title that didn’t match his skill set.
